WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?

“I can’t say enough good things about OrthoCore Physical Therapy’s founding Physical Therapist, Ian Manning and Master Trainer, Adam Davis. I am an active 57 year old woman who enjoys outdoor activities year round. I found myself sidelined with three separate but related knee injuries over a 10 month period. Each time Ian quickly diagnosed the problem and got me moving pain free in short order.
After the third injury, I knew I had to do something to prevent the next one. I began training with Adam in March, 2016. Having never had a personal trainer before, I didn’t know what to expect. Adam performed a movement screen and identified my areas of weakness. With Adam’s coaching, I progressed from basic movements post recovery such as assisted squats and lunges to seven months later lifting free weights upwards of 115 pounds. I am continually astonished by how much weight I can actually  lift!
Throughout Adam has provided detailed instruction and constant attention to safety and improving whole body strength. His enthusiastic coaching has kept me going when I was ready to quit. I am feeling stronger than ever and having so much fun enjoying my weekend warrior outdoor activities – injury free! I heartily recommend these fine professionals!”

At the OrthoCore Performance Center all clients begin with the functional movement screen which will tell us what strengths and weaknesses a client has before entering into a personalized exercise program. We pay attention to any issues with strength, flexibility, and balance to make sure that clients are receiving the type of specialization that caters to their body. Before you begin to train in the weight room, you must ensure you move well enough to perform even the most basic exercises. This method will reduce the risk of injury, and make sure clients are developing their bodies at an even pace. Think of it like building a house. You wouldn’t work on the roof and paint before building a sound foundation for the home to stand on for years to come.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Most people who enter into personal training are only interested in performing movements designed to sculpt the body’s appearance. The issue with that is that many of these exercises don’t actually increase your body’s overall functional strength. Those types of programs are only guaranteed to lead to injury which will take you out of the gym for a prolonged period of time. You may make some quick gains early but nothing that will be long lasting.

Adam is FMS certified which means that he will test your ability to move first before even putting a weight in your hand. This allows him the ability to build your individual program to achieve all your fitness goals safely. He will help you to build a sound movement foundation which will allow you to build more strength and lose more weight with a decreased risk of injury. Adam creates exercise programs that are unique to each individual client’s needs in order to achieve their fitness goals and reach their body’s potential for life long strength.
